Editorial Focus

Pearl Press is an online publication that strives to create a community of diverse voices in writing and photography. They release bimonthly issues revolving around a theme; some past examples include Heirlooms, Cowboys, Notes, Self-Portrait, High Seas, and more. Submissions are open all year with a focus on bimonthly open calls.

Tips From the Editor

Writing that does well in Pearl Press leans more toward poetry, but also has been fiction and creative nonfiction in the past. Making sure that the work is under one page long, double-spaced will give a higher chance of acceptance, as longer form writing doesn’t fit well in the publication.
